Katya was born in August 1982 in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, of an English Teacher and a Medical Doctor. She has travelled widely, living for some time in the US, Japan and Thailand, being virtually bilingual in English and Russian, as well as being fluent in Japanese.

For Katya, these accomplishments are hobbies. What drives her is her art.

She graduated from Art School in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia and then pursued a Masters in Gallery and Museum Management. Another of her interests is ecology, being a founding member of one of the first groups of young people aimed at increasing awareness of ecological issues in her native Russia.

This is one of the reasons why so many of the works displayed on this site have a theme based on nature and it is also how much of Katya's travelling was done. She has also made a number visits to Britain.

Katya is married to a neurophysiologist, Sasha (Alex) Lebedinskiy. After, 4 years working in Japan, they decided to take a few months off and are spending it in Thailand where they have both become scuba diving instructors as well.

Thus, we, her mother and step-father, offer these works, in a variety of materials and subjects, but all in Katya's colourful style. We are convinced that in due course her work will become well recognised and thus purchase now will reward the purchaser with many years of appreciation of the art and in its worth at the same time.
